We attached nanofibers to the cochlear implant and to the auditory nerve to bypass the damage.

Nanofibers are materials that help prevent scars and help damaged nerve fibers grow.  This technology was used to heal the hind legs of paralyzed mice and then tested on humans.

We made multiple size nanofibers so that babies, kids and adults will be able to use this technology.

Electrical sound information is processed through the auditory system to the brain for interpretation. The electrodes have been adapted to our design.
