At the Sound of Pride Foundation we work to emphasize the positive and minimize the negative.

Positive

Negative

  • You can get your hearing back even if you have sensorineural hearing loss.


  • Our foundation will help you find what’s right for you and help you afford it.


  • We’ll be there to help you start you new life with your new implant.


  • You will be able to make telephone calls, watch TV and listen to the world of music.

  • Surgery could have complications: infections and any remaining hearing in the implanted ear will probably be permanently lost.


  • The implant may break and you will need to get another one.


  • You need to be extra careful doing types of sports that you’re allowed to do.
