Breakthroughs Needed for the CounterBalance Shoe
Even though many of the technologies for the CounterBalance shoe exist today, some breakthroughs needed for the shoe must still be developed and it will cost money and take time. Some of these include:
- Research for the types of magnets most effective in treating arthritis
- More advancement in NASA's I-Shoe sensory technology
- A cupping or molding foot liner that reacts to the wearer's steps
- Technology to detect the inner ear fluid changes
- Wi-Fi technology to connect to an "app" on the wearer's phone
