10,000 B.C. - Water Skins

Roman Era - Clay Bottles

In 10,000 B.C.  early man used waterskins. These are water containers that are made from the skins of animals. 
The Romans used clay to make water containers, but they were breakable, because the hardened clay was fragile.

1820 's  -  Glass Bottles

In the 1820’s water containers were made of glass.  Glass didn’t break as easy as clay, but it was still not a very durable.

1900 's  -  Metal Containers

In the early 1900’s metal water containers had been created.

1950 's - Plastic Bottles

Plastic water bottles are the most used water container today. Although they are not very good for the environment, they are a cheap and durable way to hold water. ​
    It's not Plastic. It's Fantastic!
