Triple-E Water Bottle (Edible, Electrolyte Balanced, Eco-Friendly)

Breakthrough:  Bottle Ingredients

The Triple E Edible water bottle will use sodium alginate. It comes from seaweed. The next ingredient is calcium lactate. When these materials come together they form a sphere.  The breakthough will be to add an edible glue into the mixture.  The mixture will need to be able to be printed from a 3D printer.  It must also hold water.

1. Sodium Alginate - Is taken from brown seaweed, and has a clear, transparent property.  When mixed with water it thickens and binds.

3. Sodium Alginate & Calcium Lactate - When they are mixed together they make large spheres that can hold a liquid inside.

2. Calcium Lactate - Is a calcium salt that is used with many mixtures. It is white and does not have a taste or smell.

4. Tylose or New Edible Glue - This would be used to form our edible water bottle together.  It will be able to hold a liquid and be used in a 3D printer.
