Home Technology Timeline How EnerBahn Works Enerbahn's Design Design Game About our Project

Impact of Ener-Bahn

Positive Consequences

By utilizing existing road infustructure there will be no need for additional land.

Our installations can be built into the 10 to 12 year road replacement cycle.

Heat stored in asphalt can produce energy after the sun has gone down.

Ener-Bahn helps to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Power will be produced locally, reducing the need for power lines,  increasing transmission efficiency.

By transferring heat from the asphalt we reduce the Urban Heat Island Effect, reducing tempatures by up to 8°F.

Negative Consequences

As with all solar energy cost will be a major factor.

Care must be taken to insure that the materials and systems (I.E. nanotubes and liquids) cause no harm to the surrounding environment.
