Microbe
ID System (MID) requires sensitive sensors capable of detecting and reacting
electrically with the properties of tiny amounts of chemical compounds. The MID
would be used to identify the electrical patterns generated by pure microbe
cultures. These patterns would be tracked, generating 3-D scatter plot patterns
or a unique electrical
“thumbprint” pattern for each microbe. The MID would compare these patterns
with the unknown pathogen’s electrical patterns, and identify the unnamed
microbe. This information would be run against the patient’s medical history.
Any allergies to drugs, current medications (asthma, diabetes, etc.), along with
antibiotic history would be matched with a database of medication profiles.
With this information, the best medicine with the highest success rate, could
be prescribed.
