To significantly reduce
the number of children dying from asthma, a much more sophisticated
technology is needed. We are proposing an Asthma
Sensor Monitoring System that can detect traces of
special gases that are found in the breath of children suffering from
asthma. A biomedical sensor will transmit information to a detector and
the information will then be sent through a wireless network to a
child’s caregiver. The caregiver can then determine what actions are
necessary to prevent the child from experiencing an asthma attack.
