The Chicken Egg Analogy
When a hen lays an egg, the chicken embryo isn't fully developed. From the point of birth to hatching, the baby chicken will develop inside the egg. During this period of growth, the chicken embryo sustains life using the energy of the yolk the mother created in the egg.
The hydrogel in the PBS system is very similar to the yolk of an egg. The hydrogels in our system contain water and other minerals to act as a source of energy that helps the stem cell and the surrounding cells to grow. This is important to keep the cell moisturized and healthy. |
