We wanted to help our community and noticed that at least once a day we hear sirens going towards a car accident. Many of these accidents were caused by distracted drivers who did not stop for the red light at the intersection, known as red runners.

We designed a new technology to manage traffic in our streets. A system that will save lives and prevent people from getting hurt in car accidents (we know a person that got badly injured because of a red runner).

Drivers run through the red lights for many reasons:

Distracted (texting)
Foggy days (the traffic light can't be seen until 10 feet from an intersection).
Sunrise or sunset blinding the driver.
Power outages in bad weather.
Snow (LEDs can't melt snow)
