Surgery-is the most common method where as much of the tumor possible is removed without damaging vital organ functions. If there are remaining portions, the tumor is then treated by either radiation or chemotherapy but the re-growth of the remaining portions is still a possibility.
Chemotherapy-drugs are taken either by mouth or injection in order to kill the cancer cells over a period of time
Radio-Surgery-high doses of radiation are aimed at the exact locations of the tumor, pinpointing the cancer cells. For effectiveness, the radiation energy is aimed at the tumor from different angles.
The pinpointed sites of where the radiation will be aimed at are shown here.
Different angles from which rays will be aimed are shown.
