How toner is made

Toner

Toner is typically composed of a mix of two materials:
  • 80% - 90% ‘plastic’ polymer
  • 10% - 20% carbon black pigment
Both of these materials have their origins as petrochemicals.

Toner is essentially a plastic polymer bead, studded with carbon black.
